Interesting statistics of my clickbank sales that I have been compiling today.  Since I have not been able to do anything these couple of weeks due to me being back training in the army, I was pleasantly surprise to see 2 sales for this week already.

Most of my sales currently come from this one clickbank product and it has been giving me sales every week for the month of october and 2 new sales in the first week of november 2008.

Total, I have already sold 17 and this is the statistics:

1 refund

9 sales generated from google adwords

7 sales generated from article marketing

Highlights of article marketing:

I have only 5 adgroups to get that 9 sales from google but the interesting part is that I have 13 articles to generate 7 sales.

If each article cost me $4 (Singapore dollars), then I have only spent $52.  And each sales I will receive USD$26.30 so the total is USD$184 (Sing is $272).

Therefore, my total profits is $272 (sing) -$52 (sing) = $220.

I have already lost count on how much i have spent on google adwords due to the constant bidding changes and deleting of useless keywords but ultimately it became slightly profitable.

So the ratio of my articles to sales will be 13 articles : 7 sales => 53.8% conversion rate.

I have around 50 articles in my harddisk that I have not submitted but let me do an experiment for the month of november to submit all 50 articles and if it works, I should roughly have another 26 sales, which will amount to Sing $1012.  Hopefully it will works.

Frankly speaking, I have not been as hardworking as I should have been and progress has continued to be slow.  But the funny thing is sales for clickbank has been improving a bit.  In the sense that at least there are some sales this month. Still shy from really making a living online since the sales, when compare to any affiliate, is peanuts (hence businesspeanuts).

I have around 60 over articles not submitted yet so progress should have been much much better i guess.  Anyway, I have to apologize if some of you are looking for some information on what i am doing.  But basically, my methods are superbly easy and straight forward. Basically I have been very lazy for this product but it seems to bring in the best results.

This is what i have roughly done so far.

The simple 7 steps to small clickbank sales.

Step 1: Find a product in clickbank with gravity between 50 to 200

Step 2: Find long tail keywords and do abit of keyword spying on the competition, gather around 30 keywords (google keyword tool and keyword elite)

Step 3: Buy a domain name (namecheap.com) similar to the product you are promoting

Step 4: For the new domain name, set a redirect to your clickbank affiliate link

Step 5: Write 13 articles and submit to ezinearticles (3 sales from here. I still have 30 articles not submitted for this product)

Step 6: Use those 30 keywords and get as targeted as you can possibly be for some of these keywords. I created around 20 adgroups and slowly eliminated and left with only 6 adgroups now. But these 6 adgroups have generated around 8 sales over these 2 months.  I only did my homework in September and I got lazy, so it has been just 6 adgroups without any change for these 1 month plus.

Step 7: Monitor your adgroups cost versus your sales. As well as monitor which of your articles seem to be bringing in the sales.

Thats it.

Simple steps to accomplish right? I tried doing my own landing pages, squidoo pages but heck, I just can’t get the right formula.  So might as well just start driving traffic and get some sales on the road, and once there is money, I will spend more time perfecting my landing page skills.

For the time being, the bulk of my money will still have to be on creating websites for clients, as well as doing some part time jobs so that I can outsource more in future.

First of all, I realize i had not updated my businesspeanuts list for such a long time that i did not realized that people who signed were recommended to a forum that they can earn a bit of money.  I always wanted to write a “how-to” guide but was always too lazy busy.

Not much clickbank sales but in terms of providing web services, income has increased.  Expenses could be lower but the itch to buy IM products is killing my profits.  Damn! I have also began outsourcing article writing on a daily basis.  I wrote 30 articles last week and it took my life away.  It is simply too boring.  Frank Kern was right, do what you like and outsource everything that you do not like.

Last week, I bought this product call Market Samurai (bought it for US$87) and the promises seems good but the performance and stability has been questionable. It can do keyword research, find all the hubpages, squidoo lens and ezinearticles that has the keyword you are trying to target.  But the problem is performance.  And sometimes, the loading just cannot seem to finish.  I am comtemplating to ask for a refund or to wait for a further release.  Anyway here is how it looks like.

It is offering a free trial for 30 days.  It cost US$147 for the full version but there is no full version at the moment.  Whether you are using free or paid, it is the same version as they are still trying to solve many issues and the estimated time for the whole software to be stable seems to be at the end of the year.  So if you intend to buy now, I think you should just save your money until a stable system is out.

Typing this blog post at Starbucks, relaxing with a mocha frappacino. Basically, it has been a lazy 2 weeks.  First week was a transition period.  Distractions from my dogs, my baby niece as well as totally being unmotivated to do anything except eat, sleep and eat some more.  But still manage to squeeze out 1 clickbank sales from no where.

Second week was much better.  Starting writing articles (about 10 so far), made changes to my adwords campaign as well created 1 new CPA campaign as well.  Got 1 clickbank sale from my article marketing effort and also got paid $70 from a friend to guide him on using some CPA tools.

Finally receive my CDs of Patric Chan’s “Inside The Underground Insider Marketing Lab” course that he has been promoting recently.  This is probably one of my last Internet Marketing products that I will be buying.  I am pretty impress with his courses (I was once in his Chan Do It membership) so far and I am going to use his course to make money within 30 days.

As some of you know, I am turning to IM full time on Monday 01-September-2008.  My last day on the job is actually Friday 29th August 2008.  So I will rest 2 days during the weekends and next monday, it sounds like a good day to start my journey from ground zero.

Anyway, I will write down my experiences here starting from Day 1 to Day 30. Let’s see how i can apply Patric’s methods to boost my earnings for September 2008.

So far, my IM earnings for August is below:

Earnings from Clickbank is US$84.93

Earnings from PayPal is US$167.5

Earnings from ebay is US$5.84

Total Earnings: US$258.27

The biggest problem is I cannot withdraw money from ebay and clickbank because the amount is too low for me staying in Singapore.  So the target will be to increase my income from clickbank and paypal account to $2k each.  And starting from September to December (4 months), lets see how i can increase to such an amount.

Anyway, I have a few part time jobs so I can still have some money for expenses but ultimately, I have burn the bridge of my stable monthly income to force myself to succeed in Internet marketing.  Some people say why not wait until you get a stable IM income before you become full time, but my job as a programmer is taking up so much of my energy and time that I barely have any strength to do IM.  So it is now or not.  The journey starts 1st September 2008.

I was logging in to my ezinearticles account to check my statistics for my new articles when suddenly these graphs appeared. And there was monthly tracking as well. I was pretty impressed. Look below:

This was an article in March 08 and as you can see from the graph, the peak was in May 08 and after that, the traffic didn’t really pick up much. I remember that this article was bringing me one to two clickbank sales per month during those peak months.

In the past, I was recording the statistics myself to track the performance of each articles so that you will know how to improve the SEO as well as get more links to it. But with the monthly statistics and graphs, it will definitely make my life simpler as an article marketer trying to make sense of how each of my articles are performing.

Hi,

3rd clickbank sales in first 10 days of August 2008. First time in my own slow history that i got 3 sales in 10 days. Woo hoo!! Spent $5 on advertising and got back $25.92. It sure felt great!

Now, I am stuck though. I have a set of keywords using google adwords but I am not sure how to scale it bigger to increase my traffic and sales. Time to read more books and blogs to find a solution. If anyone can advise me on the next step, it would be greatly appreciated.

Short post on using adwords.  2 sales in early august.  I guess it is a pretty good start for me. Though i am far off from alot of people but this is the first time i have such results.  At least it is more than $50 per week.  For August, have 2 sales hitting $53.26.  Plus i just completed a website project for a client for $48 so total income for august 08 is $101.26. Lets see if i can hit $300 this month or not.

Oh, will be starting a CPA campaign again.  Hope this works fine.

Just when I was about to give up on Adwords again (this is the 4th or 5th time already), the magical feeling has happened again! This is the first time in my Adwords history that I have achieved 3 sales in just 3 days using purely Google Adwords advertising.

The last time I achieved a sale from clickbank was in last year september 2007 and so far, in my first 4 attempts at google adwords, I have already lost $400+. So for this fifth time, it feels great that my cost is still low and yet, the profits are there.

Finally … Finally…Finally..

Why the initial dejection from me? Because I have 2 campaigns, one for a CPA offer and one for this clickbank product. I was making a lost on that CPA offer but when the smell of profit is just about to come, I seem to have been slapped on that domain by Google. And the clickbank campaign was not really making money. But after these 3 days, it has been a joy!

As you can see, there were no post for 10 days simply because I was having such a huge learning curve when using google adwords with CPA offers. Basically, I have already spent over SIN$106.92 over a 7 day period but my earnings are SIN$41.69. So I have not manage to recoup my advertising expenses as yet.

As you can see, there were 3 days which did not have any activity. This was because Google stopped my ads. And I deleted it because i thought i have been slapped by Google but apparently, sometimes Google will stop your ads as they will do a review of your campaign. Did not know about such things until I read this in a forum. Luckily, google adwords does not totally delete away your campaign so it was just a simple click of a button to reactivate that campaign.

Things I learn:

1 - Continue to pump out new campaigns to find more gems to earn more.

2 - keyword tracking is super important. From keyword tracking, I can even gauge which keywords are bringing in the money for me.

3 - The way Google adwords run our ads and what are the ways to lower the bids or raise the bids.

Just last week, I started testing out another google adwords campaign using the search network for a clickbank product and this week, I just launch another campaign but this time is of a different nature. This time I am testing out using google adwords content network for Cost-Per-Action offers.

First Time Setting Up A CPA Campaign

I can tell you it is so much simplier than trying to setup a website to sell a clickbank product but the cost can easily go high up because I am using adwords content network to generate traffic.

How this works is this:

1 - Create landing page website

2 - Use adwords to generate traffic to landing page

3 - Get visitors to go to the CPA offer

4 - Visitor submits their email address and you get paid per email submits.

Each offer can range between a few cents to a few dollars.

Sounds easy?

After my first night of experimentation, it is pretty scary. I will not tell you what my landing page are but I can state the statistics of my first night.

Statistics Of My First CPA Campaign

Spent Singapore dollars $25.31 on 105 clicks from the content network.

And out of 105 who came to my landing page, 55 got to my CPA offers but only 1 submitted their email so I only got $2.025 for the whole night. So I lost around $23 dollars on the first night. But I was pretty happy as well because this was my first CPA lead. And of course i am sad cause my conversion rate was amazingly poor.

Making Changes

Anyway, I have made some changes to the sub-headers as well as change the CPA offer and things seem to look up cause my earnings as of now that i am typing this blog post is around $7.02. Currently google adwords is down for maintenance but I am sure I am still losing money but at least the losses seem better.

My budget is set at $25 and since I manage to get $7.02, at least i have reduce the losses to $17.98 for my second night. So my next target is to match my earnings to cover at least $25. Hopefully, I can do it.

Ok. This is my fourth attempt at trying to solve the mysteries of using google adwords. I have already lost around $600 in my previous 3 attempts but I just refused to give up. Anyway, I will be using these blog entries to track my progress, whether I manage to succeed this time or not. Not sure if anyone is interested but if you can, you can always give me some advice. Anyway I have outline 2 projects that I will be doing for google adwords.

Project 1: Clickbank Product

I have just completed doing all the keyword research necessary. I skipped all the niche research thingy, find a clickbank product that has been selling well (nothing to do with IM), and created 14 adgroups with about 8 to 10 keywords per adgroup, with 2 adverts for testing conversion. Using xtremeconversion, I created 14 redirect pages to track my conversion keywords (provided the keywords do convert). Also set a $25 budget, and only do exact matches for keywords. And I will slowly expand too. Maybe I will subscribe to keyword websites like keywordcompete.com or spyfu.com to get more keyword ideas.

Project 2: CPA Offers

I just signed up for marketleverage, copeac and pepperjam and looking for CPA offers to test by doing polling experiments. To me, this is like a totally different portion of IM. The concentration will be on the content network.

Always Remember

Just need to tell myself (and anyone who is facing the same problems) these 3 points:

1 - Keep It Simple Stupid

2 - Be Consistent Daily

3 - Doing More Does Not Mean Productivity. Doing The Real Boring Stuff Is What Brings Money In.

Just discovered that the google keyword tool now shows the number of keyword searches but I am still not sure the number is a period, yearly, monthly, weekly or daily search volume. Need to explore more but it is definitely great to finally see some number appearing.

Finally, my first positive income from setting up an ebay-affiliated website. After finding the solution to my problem for my iphone niche, it has finally made a little income. Check out my stats which i extracted from the ebaypartnernetwork.com. Though the amount is just $11.70, but at least the traffic is pretty targeted. For 45 clicks, I earn $11.70 commission, which gives me an conversion rate of $0.26 per click.

There are 3 alternatives you can use to have those ebay auctions onto your site:

1 - Try out BANS which i think is $97 but BANS only allow you to build ebay stores=> Built A Niche Store (BANS)

2 - You can use this software that is currently free (partial version) call phpBay Lite Plugin for Wordpress. There is also a paid version that allows you to setup an ebay, commission junction store as well.

3- Storestacker. So far the most comprehensive software that allows you to create clickbank, ebay, amazon, overstock, regnow and hotelclub stores. And it has RSS feeds as well as youtube videos as well.

I believe if you are focus, you can definitely earn more than my meagre sum of money.

This is a rant. I am not sure if I am a failure after paying for Jo Han Mok’s 60 Minutes To Freedom course but it is really disappointing! One email mention that some of the members are earning money already (even though I do not understand how with the kind of advice given).

I decided to take up this course because i have always been impressed with the marketing skills of Jo Han Mok but this course has seriously caused my impression of him to be down the drain!

The “so call” business in a box is way way way way X3 below expectations for a US$997 course. This is the 4th business-in-a-box already and all are lousy and disappointing. I did not want to mention the quality of the course here while i was waiting for someone to reply me on my refund request but seems like they just cannot be bothered. I thought with Jo Han Mok, things will be high quality with good support and no one seems to be bothered with me. I have a friend whom i showed the kind of things offered so far and it is barely anything worth the US$997.

Is there anyone else asking for refund? Can anyone advise me on what action can i take?

You Have Been Sold The Idea That Earning Money Working From Home Is Easy

The very idea that you can earn money working from home is one that can really get people excited with plenty of ideas on how much money that can potentially earn from the Internet. But life working from the comfort of your own home can be far from the reality some guru always portray to others. Do not get sold into the idea that making money from home means you can constantly be relaxed and comfortable, only working one hour a day. What makes it different is the fact that even though you are doing a job, there is no safety net that comes when a person is employed. Instilling certain disciplines and methods into your working can make you successful and totally independent.

The majority of us hope to identify a way that we can make easy quick money, and all of us that look at all of the different ways to work from home are at first drawn into all of the different types of offers of get rich quick schemes. How About Writing Your Life To A More Stable Online Income As A Start

This really isn’t the way to go if you are looking for a well paid job working out of home. This is an area where scams abound so it pays to be careful. If you do have the writing skills, you can start off by writing articles - and there is always a need for these; of course how well you do will depend on how good you are. However, in the beginning you will usually find that you are writing for people who are selling your efforts on as their own. You could write a certain number of articles and then sell them not to one but a few people, pricing the articles low. If you charged 10 dollars for the bundle of ten and sold them to thirty people, that would be 300 dollars, or the equivalent of 30 dollars an article, which is considerably better than 5 dollars an article.

Conclusion

You need to put in constant efforts to make your home based employment more dependable and to earn a regular income. In the beginning it will not be easy, however, once the kinks have been ironed out and the process streamlined, it will be easy. When it gets to the point of getting a pool of writers who outsource for one, that will be the point of hitting the jackpot and real money can be earned.

Is there anyone who is in Jo Han Mok’s 60 minutes to freedom program who is already making money from the first module? The email claims that there are many people earning money from the first module so i just want to know those who are earning, how are you doing it?

Today is day 3 of receiving Jo Han Mok’s business-in-a-box program. So far, so good, everything has been quite easy up until the adwords portion.  It is really an art. I have already racked up $34.88 all in just one day with a total of 184 clicks.  And click-thru rate to the merchant is 100 clicks and no sales so far.  So far, how does my campaign feels like?

$43.86 / 205 clicks = 0.214 per click

Failed to include tracking.  My fault.  Should have considered everything to track the stats and if there is a sale, at least the stats will tell me where it is coming from.

Biggest problem I have with Adwords now: I pump in 1700 keywords, and it has been asking me to raise some bids from 0.15 to 0.45 and more. And now, the biggest shocker, all keywords are being deactivated because some of the bids minimum requirement has jump to $1.50.  Damn!

Nevermind, a lot to learn.  Back to the drawing board to redo some pages and hopefully, I can reduce the quality score.

Completed my testing of Human Spinner 1.0 Beta.  It took nearly 12 hours for the results to be completed.  And after completion, you have to choose the sentences that you like or you can reject.  And the good thing is that the website will help you to write a seed file for use with JetSpinner.

And after using jetspinner, I used the original article to compare the uniqueness between the 10 new articles.

It cost me around $5 to get the article to be rewritten but the value for money service is that it can create all the sentences from and spin out another 10 articles.  So it is almost like paying $5 for 10 articles.

[tag]Human  Spinner 1.0 beta testing, results from new article rewriter software[/tags]

I have been testing out this new article spinner service call Human Spinner 1.0 (in beta stage currently) from the creators of JetSpinner.  If you have been testing out the different article spinner services, you should roughly know that a software will try to change the words to something with the same meaning.  An so far, most of the article spinner services have failed (other than the exception of ContentFX).

But for this new service, Human Spinner 1.0, instead of having a program to change the words for you, each article that you submit will actually be changed by real human writers on the spot.  You can choose to pay per paragraph or per sentence to change.  I have just submitted my first article and opt for a change for all sentences just to see its result.  It will be interesting because you can have the same article being rewritten by real humans instead of some lousy piece of software.  I think it takes around 1 hour for the article to be totally rewritten for each sentence.
